AC BABY
Morning!
The weekend in Atlantic City was a success! We celebrated my bff Lauren’s birthday and it was amazing. En route to AC I googled some places to eat dinner on the trusty iphone. We made reservations for an asian restaurant called Buddakan and it had great reviews so we hoped we were in for a treat. Once we got there it was beautiful! A giant Buddha in the middle, the ceiling looked like a night sky, and the interiors seemed as if you were in a chinese village. I was immediately in love.
The food was delicious! A few of us split the edamame raviolis which were to die for. They were creamy and I didn’t want them to ever end.
For my entree I split the pad thai with Megan. We left feeling satisfied, not overly stuffed and loved every bite.
The rest of the night was filled with laughing, dancing, wine, and friends. Nothing better for a birthday celebration! HAPPY 24th BIRTHDAY LAUR 🙂 LOVE YOU TIMES A BAJILLION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the running front….
yesterday I was walking Eden and decided to try and jog for a few seconds to see how the knee felt. I instantly felt pain and felt as though my knee was going to twist again.
I’ve thought about it, and i’m going to also take this week off to let it completely heal. It’s still really sore and needs to be iced so this week i’ll get back to yoga, but no running. Then it’s Costa Rica for a week! When I get back from Costa Rica i’ll start up running again. The cherry blossom 10 miler gives you a training plan for free when you register, and it doesn’t even start until the beginning of Feb, so I think it will be smart if I wait until I get home on the 22nd to pick up running again. Then I won’t have the thoughts in the back of my mind of if i’m going to sprain it again by running on it too soon. I think it’s better to nurse it now, rather than letting it get hurt closer to race time and upping my chances of injury. I’m excited to do some yoga and am hoping that it will also help in stretching out my knee some. yoga to the rescue 🙂
You and your friends look so gorgeous! I have never been to AC but my hubby always wants to go.
I think you’re making a good decision to rest your knee (take it from someone who pushed herself TOO much).
As for AC – looks like you had fun! I love your dress.
Sounds like a fun weekend!! I love a good AC weekend!! I think you are making the right decision with you knee!
i am so in love with that dress! get it girl!
You and your girlfriends are so stylish – love the dresses! That place looks amazing! If you are feeling pain that quickly, I’d definitely reccomending resting for a bit!
Food looks delish!! YOU all look beautiful! 🙂
Looks like you had an awesome time in AC! What a fun weekend 🙂 And I’m sure if you give your knee the rest it needs you’ll be all set to start running again soon! And Costa Rica, omg so jealous!
Yoga truly helps any injury. I had a bad back from practicing gymnastics for 15 years and it has heeled my back beyond what I thought was possible. Good luck girl and you made the right decision to take it easy and let your knee heal, your body will thank you later 😉
You and your friends look hot! What a fun weekend!
ADOREEEEEEEEE your necklace!! So FUN! Nothing better than a wonderful night out with the girlies.
Costa Rica?! Amazing. Soak up some rays for me, please 🙂 I need it!
Hope your knee feels better- it’s hard sometimes to admit when our bodies need the rest, but you’ll be so much better off in the end. Hang in there!
I hope your knee heals quickly! Some relaxing in costa rica should help 😉
i LOVE your necklace! so pretty!!!
ohh can you show us the training plan they provide? i am currently researching training plans for a ten miler! thanks 🙂
also – love your dress in these pictures!
yep, as soon as i get it i’ll send it to you 🙂
AC looks like so much fun! And that dress?! LOVE.
You are so smart to take some time off. You won’t regret letting it heal, but sometimes if we rush injuries, it can make it worse. Hope it heals soon!
you and your girls are so fierce!! I’m sure you turned tons of heads in AC 🙂
I think taking a week off is a great idea — yay for yoga 🙂 xo
looks like you had fun in AC! edamame rav looks very good. i wouldn’t want it to end either!
that must be hard taking time off from running. but, that’s good that your training prog doesn’t start until february. hopefully you’ll be healed and ready to rock then!
I’ve never been to Atlantic City! Sounds like you had a blast though, and you look gorgeous 🙂
Good plan on taking it easy until after your trip…when it comes to running, I’d rather be safe than sorry!
YESSS!!!! AC!!!!! sooo glad to hear you had so much fun! i loved it so much that i’m going back with my friends on wednesday!! you looked absolutely GORGEOUS! all your friends did! and that restaurant looks to die for… may have to check that out this week 😉 OXOXO

You are just too adorable! And edamame raviolis sounds so interesting and yummy!
I love everyone’s dresses.
Definitely take some time off if you’re injured.
So happy you had fun AND went to Buddakhan! Great place to go with the girls. We had the edamame ravs when we went too. If you want to try to make them at home, the Trader Joe’s Edamame Hummus tastes almost exactly like the filling!
that restaurant looks fantastic! pad thai is my absolute weakness in a thai restaurant. i always order it no matter what!
def a good decision to rest 🙂 you’ll be back at it in no time!
yumm edamame ravioli sounds deeelish! And your outfit is adorable!
Ash, you look so gorgeous (as do all of your friends!) The food looks so good, and I’m glad you had such a good time!! I hope your knee is back in fighting shape soon! ❤ hugggggs.
I love seeing new (to me) dishes ! That ravioli sound fab.
I’m glad you guys had such a good time! As per always you and your friends look adorable and I heart your outfits!!
Yay for yoga!! I hope your knee is back to normal soon, girlie!

Diana
I love your dress and your necklace-too cute!! All of you ladies look fantastic!
It looks like you girls had a wonderful time in Atlantic City! I live near Atlantic City and I hear Buddakan is great…although I have never been! Yoga is the perfect thing for you to do. You will be in better condition if you continue to stay off your knee. I’m not sure where you do your yoga but if you’ve never used yogadownload.com, it’s a great site with lots of free/reasonably priced yoga classes.
good eats + good friends = GREAT TIME!
You all look beautiful!!
The pad thai looks incredible (one of my absolute faves). Love your gorgeous dress and necklace!
Hope your knee continues to heal! Glad that you have yoga to help with things!
Pretty pics!
Please tell me where you got that necklace! So awesome!!
Forever 21!! 🙂
AC!? my family lives in margate- which is approximately 5 minutes from there!! i go to the pier all hte time- did you hit up its sugar by any chance? haha love it. anyway- your outfit/necklace looks sooo cute on you!!! and have a great time in costa rica- luck girl escaping the cold baltimore 😦
you and your friends should model for “seventeen” magazine. 😉 Anyways I feel your pain girl, my calf still hurts and it feels like a “failure” that we can’t run even though our heart really wants to. Don’t fret, as long we try again in a few weeks. Lovely pad thai btw
