bridal bliss and giveaway!
Happy 1st of September. Can you believe summer has come and gone so quickly?
This past weekend was great! We went to one of my friend’s bridal shower in PA. I went with my friends Lauren and Meg and it was our first 🙂 We played field hockey in college with the bride to be, so it was so nice to be able to be with her on this special day. The food was amazing, and the bride’s sister had printed out recipe cards for each of the dishes they had there. I made sure to grab the sangria one 🙂
The cake was BEAUTIFUL! It was a white chocolate mousse cake, and has gorgeous white chocolate massive shavings on the top with roses. I am not really a big fan of cake, but I made sure to grab a slice and have a few bites to taste. Cake has always been a little too sweet for me, but it was gorgeous nonetheless.
We had to pair off in teams of three’s and was given 3 pieces of tissue paper, 1 5 pc of toilet paper and 3 paper clips to make a veil. Oh don’t worry… all 3 of us tried it on. Even though we didn’t win… sigh…. it was the prettiest veil there haha.
I don’t know why but all my pics of the bride came up blurry…. rats.
After the shower we drove back to Baltimore and managed to drag ourselves out 😉 Fun night out with friends just never get old. And to add… Firefly sweet tea vodka with water and lemons are my new favorite drink. amazing.

I just saw that Glamour did a blurb about the Ponds Towelettes. I really could have used them the other night when I was too pooped to wash my face… or after a night out when all I want to do is crash because I hate hate hate waking up with makeup smeared all over my face. Its bad enough to have eye crusties but eye crusties with makeup is 100 times worse.

Aw, i love bridal showers. they are such a fun way to catch up with old friends! i love your yellow top, very cute! and yes, it’s crazy how fast the summer came and went.. i cant believe its already fall! i am not complaining though, its my fav season.
I would love to win this Pond’s giveaway because as a full-time grad student and avid exerciser I’m usually running between the gym or yoga and class. Hopefully these towelettes can help me look and feel a little more presentable and help make my transitions a little smoother!

cute veil!!! and what an AWESOME giveaway. i would absolutely LOVE to have this. for a couple of reasons… i teach spinning at my school’s gym and always feel GROSS afterwards- so it would be nice to have something. also- I go to bikram yoga in hampden (is that the one you go to???) and like you- it leaves you feeling pretty sweaty/smelly/gross. the bag/waterbottle/towlettes would be absolutely perfect for bikram yoga and spinning!
p.s. do yo know any good cafes around baltimore area? organic/natural, too?
True story: I am currently having my bathroom re-done at home and they have to re-route the plumbing… AKA, I don’t have any means of washing my face during the day (they turn it back on at night)… I’ve already gotten my hands on some Stridex wipes, but they are a little intense and I’d love to try Ponds!
PS-I feel you on the not loving cake front… People think it’s weird, but unless it’s cheesecake–or maybe some good Carvel (haha, I have such kiddie foodie taste)–it doesn’t do wonder for me!
PPS-Be careful with the sweet tea chica! It;s a new fave of mine too, and that stuff is STRONG,.. which I guess is partially why it’s a favorite 😉

I would love these because I am usually to lazy (or drunk) at night to wash my face! Wipes like these would be an easy way to get my makeup off! Love the cute gym bag too!! I would use it for days that I go during my lunch hour!
As sad as it is, i have more nights than i’d like to admit when it’s really hard to bring myself to wash off all my make up. I’m a big fan of these types of towelettes and that make-up bag is so cute!

Omg, I NEED these towelettes! I’ve been breaking out like crazy from my workouts and I look for something like this every time I go to Sephora and they never have it. I get so sweaty from cardio! Also, I’m really lazy with taking my makeup off at night. I usually just sleep with it on

I`d love to win the giveaway~ I`m always running after I get off work, but when I after I get back and eat supper, I`m too tired to actually take the time to wash my make-up off. I hate going to bed wearing make-up as it really breaks out my skin, but it just takes too much effort right now!

I need Pond’s towlette’s in my life because I travel so much and those little wipes are so handy! After a long day of flying or riding in a car the last thing I want to do is wash my face. But being able to just wipe all the yuckiness away would be fantastic!

As for the ponds package, my face tends to be to sensitive to try a lot of that stuff, and just creates a problem when there wasn’t really one in the first place. But the cosmetic bag is awfully cute! Maybe that’s not the response you were expecting, but at least I’m honest, right?

Hiii! So the teriyaki salmon went wonderful and all the roomies loved it!
