cookie monster

May 7, 2009

Hollaaaa! Hope your Thursday is going well so far! It’s been so dreary over here in Baltimore lately. I don’t remember a day when it hasn’t rained in the past week. I’m hoping for some sun soon?? πŸ™‚

Breakfast yesterday was a greener looking breakfast cookie. I decided to use some of the TJs vanilla hemp protein powder which isΒ a dark green color but it really helped to keep me full! I also put in chia seeds which added a nice crunch to the cookie. It was eaten in bed if you couldn’t tell from my duvet haha. Loving the breakfast cookie with applesauce subbed in for banana. delicious.

Yesterday for lunch I still had the leftovers of my kidney beans curry from my Arora mix. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway for a chance to win 7 of their organic Indian spice mixes! This was sooo good. I only made half of the recipe so I wouldn’t have too many leftovers so I have half of the spice mix left for another time. I ate it the same exact way as the night before, with a piece of pita and a little dollop of lite sour cream.

lunch

This filled me up so well and kept me full until dinner time. It’s not every day that happens.

When I got home from work I wanted to run. I looked outside, and it was soooo grey. I knew it was going to rain but I was hoping it’d hold off. I was only able to run about 20 minutes before it started raining hard but I’m happy I got in a run and went out even though I kept debating in my mind if I should go or not. Felt so good, I hadn’t run in about a week so it was nice to get my legs back on the pavement.

When I got back I made dinner with my roomie Laur. She had some salmon burger patties and we paired them up with some squash and zucchini. Of course I had my ketchup and mustard on the side to dip.

After din I let it digest and then it was time to SHRED! Update is on the shred tab up at the top by the about me and contact info. I’m going to update it everday on there so it will be on its own seperate page πŸ™‚

Β

This morning when I woke up I jumped straight onto my yoga mat. I did Yogadownloads gentle hatha yoga #1 and it was exactly what I needed. It made me feel so much more awake and refreshed than when I usually drag myself out of my bed and into the kitchen for breakfast. Another breakfast cookie πŸ™‚ This time with mighty maple instead of almond butter and regular vanilla protein powder. Love the chia addition!! crunchy crunch.

I’m feeling so good about my decision to do the half in October. You guys are a huge support system and always give me the confidence boost I need to know I can push myself further than I ever thought was possible. Thank you thank you thank you. This is the best community to be in when you are striving to reach your goals and I couldn’t ask for more. I’ve found a few training programs and they seem really good so i’ll be narrowing them down and see if I want to follow one the whole way through.

I’m going to dinner tonight with two of my friends, I can’t wait to catch up. Not sure where yet, but i’ll try and be sneaky and take some pics! Have a great day xoxo
