Ah I can really feel the weekend coming πŸ™‚ It is supposed to get to 70 this weekend! i am shocked. I can’t wait to be outside and in the sun!!! Chase and I are definitely going to take Eden to the park close to my house. Theres a 3 mile loop around a lake and its perfect for a nice day. I can’t wait! Sun just puts everyone in a better mood don’t you think?

To make your mood even better, my girl Erica from Itzy’s Kitchen is having a giveaway for her Cinnamon Sweet Bread. This bread looks out of this world. Okay I’ve decided to participate in Caitlin’s 30 day shred challenge. I have Jillian’s 30 day shred, and when I first got it i did it for about 2 weeks and could tell a difference. Everything felt tighter and more toned. Well, I stopped doing it… and now that theres a challenge I feel theres no better time than now to use it again. It works out perfectly since i’ll be spending the time at the gym focusing on getting my runs in. I’ve always skimped on strength and Jillian is a tough coach that gets you through the hard workout but its only 20 minutes. I took my measurements last night to see if there is any difference after the month. I’m thinking March is going to be a great month for all of us πŸ™‚Β  OOH and I got in a 30 minute treadmill run at the gym during lunch! legs are getting a little more used to running againnnn.

Yoga last night was so good! One of the regulars there came up to me after class and said that i’ve been making some great progress in the little time i’ve been there. Its the little compliments like that, when someone goes out of their way to say something to you that mean the most. It’s a nice feeling knowing that I feel like i’m improving but also that others are able to notice too. Yay i’m getting better!!

When I got home I wanted something not too heavy for dinner. I grilled up some veggies on the foreman. I had some baby bella mushrooms(mini portabella! so cuteeee), zucchini, and eggplant. Threw it on a bed of spinach and then topped it with hummus and some feta. I loveeee this simple dinner. I saved the leftover veggies to make a wrap for lunch today.

For dessert I had one of my Kozy Shack rice puddings. I warmed this baby up in the microwave and then topped it with cinnamon. i am soooo glad i decided to try this stuff. Its the perfect dessert and i love it. I really enjoyed it cold too, so its nice having different options with it. Blogging has opened up so many different types of foods that i’ve never tried before. Its amazing how many things i have decided to try because of all of you! Thank you for being such foodie inspirations.

I plopped myself on the couch after my rice pudding to watch the new season of America’s Next Top Model. Anyone else die hard fans? They are casting shorties for their next season. It’s for people 5’7 and under!Β  They were doing a lot of advertising for it in last nights episode. Once the show was over I did the shred and then went to bed and slept like a rock.

This morning I woke up and was in the mood for a greeen smoothie. Mine had spinach, raw almond butter, agave, 1/2 banana and some soy milk. This was a winning combo, and I ended up making too much so Hershey got to try her first green smoothie… she loved it πŸ™‚ haha

On the radio this morning on the way to work they said Thursday is the day that people are happiest. I agreee, because Friday is JUST around the corner! Have a great Thursday!!

    I used to love ANTM but I stopped watching it a couple seasons ago when they booted off the normal-sized girl for being too “normal.” She was the one that started off sort of plus-sized and started losing weight during the show. They said she wasn’t big enough to be plus-size, but not thin enough to be a “regular” model. I just thought…isn’t that ideal?! She was so pretty so when she got kicked off for that I stopped watching!

    Dude, Thursday IS the best day of the week! I call it First Friday – because you feel like the week is coming to an end, you know that tomorrow will have a sparkle to it because it’s the beginning of the weekend, and Monday still feels faaaaaaar away. Thursday or bust!

    Yeah, ANTM is off to a great start. Celia’s my favorite personality, but I sort of love Aminat’s look. Fo is cute as a button…but…she’s off to a shaky start, unfortch.

    That dinner and dessert are amazing! Thursdays were always my favorite day of the week since I was little πŸ™‚

    Loveeee ANTM but I didn’t catch it last night. Definitely gonna have to catch up on that tonight! After all this talk I wanna give the 30 Shred dvd a try! It looks like fun and 20 minutes is like nothing πŸ™‚ So exciting that the treadmill is going good!!

    I am going to try the 30 day shred too! I ordered it yesterday so as soon as it arrives, I am in!! Dinner looks great last night! I should try grilling my veggies on the foreman too!!

    I love Thursdays, it’s always the easiest day to get out of bed for me.
    And I LOOOOOVE ANTM I didn’t watch last night’s yet but I will tonight then we’ll have to talk about it, since no one else I know watches it!

    I just did Level 2. My arms are shaking! She ends with so much shoulder stuff. I’m pretty sure I cussed Jillian out in my mind today…

    ANTM IS SO ADDICTING! After I go to the gym I’m making a green monster! I can’t wait! Have a HAPPY Thursday!

    Damn,damn,damn that song is going to be stuck in my head all day! luckily it’s upbeat and positive and I’m a cheeseball and love that Natasha Bedfinfeld (sp?) album! Mayjuh props to doing the shred challenge! You’ll kill it. ANTM…I will be writing about this very, very soon. It’s near and dear to me. I haven’t watched it much over the past year, though. I can’t believe they’re casting shorties for next year! Is that a new trend…according to TYRA? She be crazy. Have a lovely thursday!

    Hey Ashley! I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now, and I was wondering how you got into Bikram? I’ve always considered trying it, but I think it’s so much more intimidating that “regular” yoga. Had you done a lot of yoga before trying Bikram?

    I totally went to my first yoga class in a year last night and my upper back (between my shoulder blades) are in SO MUCH PAIN when i straighten it. Would you happen to know if this is normal? πŸ˜›

    Oooh and I also had a wrap today for lunch! YUMMMY!!!! By the way, I love how your pudding is in an asian bowl. It brings me back home for like…two seconds! hahah I totally thought it was a Chinese dessert!

    And i was TOTALLY an ANTM fan until they kept kicking off girls I really liked.

    i used to watch atm but I got out of the habit and tyra seemed to get a little crazy, but I had no clue they would cast for a “short” model ! props to average heighters! wohoo!

    I love that green smoothie and that salad! hope hershey liked it!
