pocket full of sunshine
Ah I can really feel the weekend coming 🙂 It is supposed to get to 70 this weekend! i am shocked. I can’t wait to be outside and in the sun!!! Chase and I are definitely going to take Eden to the park close to my house. Theres a 3 mile loop around a lake and its perfect for a nice day. I can’t wait! Sun just puts everyone in a better mood don’t you think?

Okay I’ve decided to participate in Caitlin’s 30 day shred challenge. I have Jillian’s 30 day shred, and when I first got it i did it for about 2 weeks and could tell a difference. Everything felt tighter and more toned. Well, I stopped doing it… and now that theres a challenge I feel theres no better time than now to use it again. It works out perfectly since i’ll be spending the time at the gym focusing on getting my runs in. I’ve always skimped on strength and Jillian is a tough coach that gets you through the hard workout but its only 20 minutes. I took my measurements last night to see if there is any difference after the month. I’m thinking March is going to be a great month for all of us 🙂 OOH and I got in a 30 minute treadmill run at the gym during lunch! legs are getting a little more used to running againnnn.
Yoga last night was so good! One of the regulars there came up to me after class and said that i’ve been making some great progress in the little time i’ve been there. Its the little compliments like that, when someone goes out of their way to say something to you that mean the most. It’s a nice feeling knowing that I feel like i’m improving but also that others are able to notice too. Yay i’m getting better!!
When I got home I wanted something not too heavy for dinner. I grilled up some veggies on the foreman. I had some baby bella mushrooms(mini portabella! so cuteeee), zucchini, and eggplant. Threw it on a bed of spinach and then topped it with hummus and some feta. I loveeee this simple dinner. I saved the leftover veggies to make a wrap for lunch today.
For dessert I had one of my Kozy Shack rice puddings. I warmed this baby up in the microwave and then topped it with cinnamon. i am soooo glad i decided to try this stuff. Its the perfect dessert and i love it. I really enjoyed it cold too, so its nice having different options with it. Blogging has opened up so many different types of foods that i’ve never tried before. Its amazing how many things i have decided to try because of all of you! Thank you for being such foodie inspirations.
I plopped myself on the couch after my rice pudding to watch the new season of America’s Next Top Model. Anyone else die hard fans? They are casting shorties for their next season. It’s for people 5’7 and under! They were doing a lot of advertising for it in last nights episode. Once the show was over I did the shred and then went to bed and slept like a rock.
This morning I woke up and was in the mood for a greeen smoothie. Mine had spinach, raw almond butter, agave, 1/2 banana and some soy milk. This was a winning combo, and I ended up making too much so Hershey got to try her first green smoothie… she loved it 🙂 haha
On the radio this morning on the way to work they said Thursday is the day that people are happiest. I agreee, because Friday is JUST around the corner! Have a great Thursday!!
