Muffin Love

January 19, 2009

So i just wanted to start off this post by saying that I tried out baking Angelas Flax and Oat Breakfast Power Muffins and WOW these are good πŸ™‚ I followed the recipe exactly, and then at the end added some semi sweet chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, and some shredded coconut. These are the perfect amount of sweet and they are delicious. I really recommend you guys try these babies out! It took a lotttt for me to only have just 1.

My eats of the day before this muffin weren’t too exciting. I had an apple and a string cheese mid morning, and then for lunch had my typical favorite turkey wrap with hummus, lettuce, cucumbers, and artichokes and some plain yogurt sweetened with agave and some puffins and flax.Β  I was getting hungry around 4, so I pulled out this Pure Protein Hot n’ Healthy square. I have seen them reviewed on a few blogs so I was hoping it’d be good, but it was just way too sweet for me. I ate about half of it, then tossed the rest.Β  Dinner tonight was some leftover Singapore noodles.

I wasn’t able to go to my Group Power class that I had planned on. I got called in to this project right before lunch, so my lunch hour was no more. I am going to do the Jackie Warner Workout dvd. It has 3 sections, upper body, lower body, and core, which are each 20 minutes long. I don’t know if any of you have seen her show on Bravo. It’s a reality show, but i’m telling you… this dvd is awesome. I really love it.Β  I think i’m going to do a yoga download tonight too to stretch me out, i am still so sore from field hockey last night. Can’t wait to relax with some yoga before bed.

I’m sure everyone knows, but Meghann has decided to run the San Diego Marathon and has got to raise a ton of money! Let’s all make sure we help her out as much as we can πŸ™‚

have a great night!

I saved that muffin recipe! They sound awesome and I haven’t made muffins in a while. Time to crack out the muffin pan! I don’t think I’d be able to stop at just one though… no willpower with muffins!

You didn’t like the oatmeal squares? That’s too bad! I’ve never tried them (or even seen them for that matter) but I’ve heard good things. Maybe I’m not that upset that they don’t sell them around here anymore haha

hi πŸ™‚ I am going to be using the protein powder in cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, baking, etc! I have decreased my meat intake and want to still make sure I’m getting enough protein!

I’ve been planning on making these today! So glad to read another review. I was thinking of adding some fruit puree because I like things sweet. What do you think? Your look delicious!
